Made from 10 mm high-performance polyethylene (HMPE) rope with a minimum breaking strength of 69 kN, these chokers are extremely lightweight, strong, and durable.
High-performance polyethylene (HMPE) fibers are among the strongest in the world. Traditionally used in marine and industrial applications, these synthetic ropes are now used to manufacture chokers, offering an excellent alternative to traditional chain chokers.
Portable Winch® chokers are equipped with three 6 mm chain links and a 30 cm (12") metal needle on one end, allowing them to be easily pushed under logs or through the opening of a skidding cone and attached to a grab hook. On the other end, a spliced eye forms a long loop used to wrap around and securely choke the load.
